Te Awamutu – Lake Ngaroto walkway

Dog friendly walk – Lake Ngaroto is a peat lake in Waipa District of New Zealand. Located 19 km south of Hamilton and 8 km north-west of Te Awamutu.
Loop track – walking distance is approximately 6 km.

Walk starting point: 170 Bank Road, Te Awamutu

Te Awamutu – Yarndleys Bush walk

Dog friendly walk is located north of Te Awamutu, offering a 30-minute loop through native swamp forest with Kahikatea trees, some over 35 meters tall. There is a large parking area on Ngaroto Road, you will need to walk along the roadside to the enterance. This walk is dog-friendly. Need to know: no toilets, and includes a steep hill requiring moderate fitness.
